Thanks South-eastern……

I would like to thank South-eastern for the new year time table which makes nearly all trains run late.

I am sure the targets that they are given will still be met this year even though they clear are not meeting them targets. Oh and if they dont, it was the cold weather and snow days that did it, not the normal, every day before and after the snow that the trains are late.

I get sick of their crappy excuses as well! if its not snow, wind, rain, leaves its congestion at London Bridge! they have the same amount of trains every day, its not like the M25 where any old bugger can get in his car / train and get in the que!

I know its usually down to a broken signal but don’t apologies in the station saying “We are sorry for the delay this morning into Cannon Street, this was due to congestion at London Bridge.”, no, no its not, its due to a broken signal, don’t bloody lie to me, its not that an extra 50 trains turned up today, its just that poor faulty not upgraded equipment keep breaking. In fact most days there are cancelled services due to train or driver shortage so they should be flying down the lines not getting bogged down.

Then there is the trains that used to run from Dartford now start at Gravesend, they have that extra bit to go! simple, it leaves earlier, no it seems that they are always 3 to 4 minutes late, so that means, leave 3 to 4 minutes earlier and if needed spend more time at each station to slow down or go slower between stations, but for god sake sort it out.

Well that’s vented and now the pain in my arse called slow, poorly serviced, shabby south-eastern trains is out in the open and free.

It will still upset me when I go home but hey, for the few hours between now and then I am happy happy happy, well, not really, but smiles, big big smiles, Smiley Smiley Carol Smiley ;-)

So much for that…..

Been a while

Well as the title says, its been a while, well too long.

So lets start with the garden, its looking dead in one section and the other section is growing well, its very strange and is like loosing a pet mouse. Its not that sad but the attention you showered and directed at it seems such a waste for that little time you had it! I have had a few weeks of loads of beans, tom’s sweetcorn, cucumber, peppers and a few chillies. Reckon thats about £40 of yet more veg. All in all this year me and gemma have made our money back and more some!

The house is getting cold and the cats are getting very lazy. Have got new skirting, doors, guttering and facia’s sorted out so thats all great news to make the house look better.

Been ill on and off since last blog so not great but hey ho, my office has alot of illness and bad going around all the time so I have done well not to get really ill yet.

Gemma kept her job and is in her new office. She is happy but not happy, lots of work to make up for the gaps in her team and the company as a whole, how recessions ruin lives of the people that get let go and the ones that stay to struggle on with more redundancies later down the line!

Have completed jquery.validation.js beta version, needs a little home page knocked up but thats part of my bigger picture in terms of sorting out my portfolio!

Lastly would some one please give my brother a job, he might start thinking that no one likes him and that would be harsh! may be the tories need to suggest all ginger short lists and Nick will be in luck! that or Nick needs to have a sex change and make it onto the planned female short list.

Gonna try and blog more often, likeliness, 60%, I hope so as its a good way to remember what I have done! often forget, why am I here again?????

Explosive wine

Well, if I could have predicted the weak wine I made would explode, I would have put it outside and watch the plastic corks fly!

Only one bottle so far but who knows, I think they might be not to nice! tasted it but it was funny. I hope thats due to being open for a while and going funny!

Saying that, the other cider is 7% and is ok, funny after taste but its due to being fermented too hot. This time around I have made sure the cider is going slower on a lower temperature, its been very active and this time does not smell bad, third time lucky! well, fingers crossed.

Sickness

Well thats what sums up my time off! think its getting worse too! Gemma is feeling pants, Andy at work was off ill too! Loads of people off at work with sickness, you just cant get away from it.

Fingers crossed, I am going to get some medicine and see if it clears it up for me!!!

Oh ho I hate being ill.

Well its finally come about, a long weekend! cant wait, tomorrow I have a couple of projects to finish off and two tables to build for my office! The tables will hold my home brew equipment.

Then Saturday, some weeding and a new home brew to do, along side that I will continue the work on some projects I have on the go.

Sunday, well not sure but it will be a few bit here and there.

Monday, security day, will be installing my CCTV camera that has been sitting doing nothing to join the other, plus two flood lights so that I can see in the garden when it gets dark!

First pint

Well it was not that good! it had a funny after taste but I used ice cubes that might have made it taste funny or it just might need longer. I am going to give it a few weeks and retry before deciding if its ok or bin time! I have another type and another lot of this type to brew so I wont give up on cider yet. I think I might get the bottles outside clean and do some cider straight to bottles and do some beer and wine to stock up at the same time. The cider was really fizzy so that was really good. I think the cider is a scrumpy which might not be my thing! Will try and find some 100% juices to make fruit ciders with.

The cider tasted fine but had an after taste, I am going to let this stand for a while and do some more wine and then do another lot of cider in a few weeks.
